How to make sent items go into a secondary (shared mailbox) instead of your own

Note If you're running Outlook 2013 or a later version, you don't have to install any hotfix.

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

Note The x.0 placeholder represents your version of Office (16.0 = Office 2016, 15.0 = Office 2013, 14.0 = Office 2010).

  1. On the Editmenu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  2. Type DelegateSentItemsStyle, and then press Enter.
  3. Right-click DelegateSentItemsStyle, and then click Modify.
  4. In the Value databox, type 1, and then click OK.
  5. Exit Registry Editor.

How to retrieve the serial number for AutoCAD when it's already installed

If you need to recover a serial number from a currently working version of Auto CAD, prior to a wipe for example, it can be located in the following or similar registry location for version 2010 onwards.


The key you’re looking for will definitely have the :409 at the end and the string is listed as SerialNumber

Fully removing Office 2003

Office 2003 will leave lots of remnants behind which can cause future versions of office to not function correctly, especially with MAPI and outlook 2003. Follow this to ensure all of Office 2003 is removed. 

1.  Uninstall Office 2003 using Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel
2.  Click Start menu-> Run, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks) in the Open box and press Enter.
3.  Back up and Delete the following registry keys if they exist:
          (Note:  '#' represents any number {0-9, A-F})
4. Quit the Registry Editor.
5. Delete or rename the following folders if they exist:
     C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
     C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Office9
     C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Office10
     C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE11
     C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Application Data\Microsoft\Office
     C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office
     C:\Program Files\OfficeUpdate
     C:\Program Files\OfficeUpdate11

6. To remove MAPI, search for and rename the following files/folders if they exist:
     C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Msmapi
     C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi

7. Click Start->Run, type "%Temp%" (without the quotation marks) in the Open box and press Enter, delete everthing in the %Temp% folder.
8.  Empty the Recycle Bin.
9.  Restart your computer and then install office 2003

How to Stop Windows 7 or 8 from Downloading Windows 10 Automatically

I have had several users saying Windows 10 Upgraded it's self. In order to stop this we can create a registry key to stop this from happening.


You will need to create the "Windows Update" Key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\ and then create a 32 Bit DWORD named "DisbaleOSUpgrade" and set the value to Decimal of 1.

Error: Outlook 2003: The operation failed due to an installation problem

If outlook 2003 wotn start and you get "The operation failed due to an installation problem" you need to do this:

1. Open Regedit
2. Backup your registry
3. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook
4. Right click on the Outlook folder and create a new DWORD. Set it's value to Decimal (1).

Outlook should now start without issue.
